Libre kasi!

Dahil may naforward na email na may free tea sa Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, siyempre, magpapahuli ba kami?

(July 31 na kasi ang last day.)

"Kaya yan!" sagot namin nung papunta kami ng CBTL Convergys habang umuulan at nagdecide na wag ng bumalik ng office para magdala ng payong.

Un ang akala namin...

Pagdating ng CBTL, dinaig ang premier ng Enteng Kabisote sa haba ng pila! Buti na lang may silong para hindi kami mabasa sa labas ng coffee shop habang naghihintay makapasok at kunin ang libreng tea.

Akala ko isa lang ang choice na tea, un pala, you can choose from their list of available teas. I had the Tropical Passion. Siyempre tunog fruit-ish ung akin (para may dahilan ako uminom plus my diet factor involved).

Note to self: Next time, hindi dahil libre, sugod na agad.

Pinoy Gossip Girl XOXO

I arrived in the office in a very good mood until I opened my Multiply account and saw more than 5 posts regarding this.

PINOY GOSSIP GIRL a.k.a. Chismosang Babae?!

ABS-CBN will air the pinoy version of Gossip Girl soon. FINAL CAST:

Serena van der Woodsen: KC Concepcion
Dan Humphry: John Loyd Cruz
Blair Waldorf: Anne Curtis
Nate Archibald: Sam Milby
Chuck Bass: Luis Manzano
Jenny Humphry: Angelica Panganiban

What the heck is this? Haven't they got it already?

I have always been amused at how people set high standards when it comes to finding The One, as some call it.

Just yesterday, I was coming back from lunch when 2 women and a guy went in with me in the elevator.

"Sana naman gwapo yan." said one girl with a hint of irritation.

They were setting her up with a guy again, I think. And from the tone of the woman's voice, I'm guessing the first one didn't end up well.

The guy, not knowing how to respond just said, "siguro naman" while I just rolled my eyes.

"Tsaka sana matangkad. Kasi kung may parties, ang chaka naman kung hindi ako nakaheels dba?" she said to the two, smiling as if seeing herself in a large crowd wearing a gown and in 5-inch heels. "Ok lang kahit hindi masyado basta pwede pa din ako magheels, ok na siya."

Goodlooking was not enough for her, she wanted the guy to be tall too?

'Goodluck finding that in your condition,' I thought. I ain't no beauty expert but the girl needs a major overhaul. 5 years in the gym (5x a day at that) and some plastic surgery could do the trick.

"Eh panu kung matangkad pero hindi gwapo?" asked the other girl.

"Ah ok lang un. Basta malinis tingnan. Maputi or tisoy. Nice teeth. Maganda manamit. uhmm.. ganun. Alam mo un, maihaharap ko sa friends ko, sa family." little miss piggy replied.

After a few floors and a few more demands from the girl, they eventually got off and left me contemplating on what had just happened.

I may have my own preferences when I'm looking for The One, but as far as I'm concerned none of those, based from my past relationships, were found on one particular person. And I'm pretty much fine with it because at the end of the day, I smile at the thought of content and satisfaction just being with that person.

Tsk. I'm getting old. I don't look for a car or a personal Santa anymore. Just that smile that keeps you wanting more; the pain of waiting so that you'd be together again. (Now this is downright cheesy! Ack! I just finished Twilight and you have got to read it!)

Who would you rather have, a visually-stimulating person or a mentally (and emotionally)-stimulating person?

2 out of 3 is fine by me.

If that girl finds an instant connection with her next date, even if it was the most uninteresting person she could imagine, I doubt she'd ever let go of him.

I'd surely want to see that happen. :)

not the dark knight

Tsk. This sonova***** left his 2 year old son in a movie theater parking lot just so he can watch Dark Knight alone.

Moviegoers outside heard the child crying and called for help.

The baby was dehydrated and scared when he was taken out of the car (buti na lang ok ung condition ng bata).

"It was about 87 degrees. We had our fire department use and infrared thermometer and determined that the temperature at 2:00 in the morning was actually 87 degrees inside the car, and the windows were rolled up," said police spokesman.

Tsk Tsk.

Watchmen: Official Movie Trailer

The next X-Men or just another one of those movies with good SFX?

I can't wait to see this next year. :)

*Watchmen is a twelve-issue comic book limited series written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Originally published by DC Comics as a monthly limited series from 1986 to 1987, it was later republished as a trade paperback,[1] which popularized the "graphic novel" format. To date, Watchmen remains the only graphic novel to win a Hugo Award,[2] and is also the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present."[3]

Watchmen is set in 1985, in an alternate history United States where costumed adventurers are real and the country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union (the Doomsday Clock is at five minutes to midnight). It tells the story of a group of past and present superheroes and the events surrounding the mysterious murder of one of their own.

weekend summary

Again, weekend. Since I didn't have any plans, I went out with my friends last Friday night. Instead of going home (and back to Makati for our weekend gimmick), I just waited for my friend to pick me up from the office and then we had dinner (ako nga lang kumain).

We met up with DJ and then went to Basol and Martin's unit para dun na tumambay before going to the club. Sabi namin we'll arrive in the club by 12, kaso natagalan dahil sa medyo tinamad na kami at napahaba ang usapan when Martin arrived from work.

Mejo maaga ako tinamaan ng alak dahil it's been weekes since I had alcohol in my system.

I arrived at home at around 8AM Saturday. I woke up 1PM to have lunch and slept again dahil I'll be going to the gym at 8PM.

Sunday came and wala naman masyadong naganap. Went out with my family to watch The Dark Knight (really good, btw. I suggest you watch it). I went shopping with my sister while my mom and brother went to the bank.

And finally, after waiting for a week, I had the chance to read the book everyone's been bugging me to read. Twilight. I saw the trailer of its movie version kaso my officemate suggested na wag na muna dahil it'll spoil the book. (So I didn't watch it but I'll post it here anyway. Hopefully, it's the real thing.)

I didn't really know who Zenaida Seva was until I heard her name this morning. Sure, my friends mention her all the time, a fortune-teller of some sort, but I can't really relate since I haven't heard from her or about her firsthand.

I was in the FX on my way to the office when I heard the radio announcer mention her name.

Announcer: Ayon kay Zenaida Seva blah blah.. blah blah... Maswerteng Numero (and then he mentioned random numbers) ; Maswerteng Kulay: Midnight Blue; Maswerteng Aroma Scent: Green Tea...

May maswerteng aroma scent na talaga?!

Hayy... si Zenaida talaga.

What's next?

Maswerteng lapis?

Maswerteng kulay ng post it?

What the heck's wrong with these people?!

And today, July 18, is supposed to be a day to watch out for. May lindol daw na magaganap according to some guy (or girl, I don't really know who and don't really care).

"Wag kayong maniniwala sa mga hula-hula na yan. Diyos lang makakapagsabi ng mga ganyan." my officemate told me two days ago.

Today she's on leave.

Sudoku craze

*Sudoku is a logical puzzle played by filling in the game board so that the numbers 1 through 9 occur exactly once in each row, column, and 3x3 box.

Mamma Mia night

I saw Mamma Mia yesterday with my sister and Mom and boy was I in for a surprise!

I thought this would just be another boring film with lots of silly jumping and awkward singing, but it turned out to be a great fun to watch. My favorite scene was when Donna (Streep) was singing Abba's "Slipping Through My Fingers" to Sophie (Seyfried) while she was getting dressed for her wedding.

"Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while ..."

From the first line to the last, it makes you reminisce what precious time you've let pass and what you'd give up just to experience those little things again.

Knowing I was with my mom and my sister (and how inseparable these two are), I glanced at my mom and saw her watching the scene intently. How sad this must be for her knowing she'll experience the same feeling with my sister.

After the film, I bought a book (thanks to the rave reviews I got from my officemate, Shau. Stephenie Meyer owes her big time 'cause I rarely buy books worth more than P200. hehe I'm such a cheapskate!)

I'll have to finish the book before the movie gets shown in the Philippines. :)

Dahil new team, 'outing' muna daw sa RedBox GB.

I was there for the food...

Napakanta ako ng wala sa oras.

And when I saw them taking pictures...

Syempre, papahuli pa ba ako?

Sobra akong nag-enjoy. Nakauwe ako ng 2am.

12:30PM ako nakapasok kinabukasan.

Ngiti pa

I was on my way home last Saturday night from the gym when I heard 2 women talking to each other.

"Ang dami na nga nilang gwapo, tapos mang-aagaw pa sa'tin?" one said with a hint of sarcasm and annoyance.

"'Onga!" the other replied.

Napangiti na lang ako.
